New advanced Google Career Certificates in data analytics
In Google Search, we see people looking for ways to grow in their careers. In fact, search interest for “how to become a data analyst” reached a global all-time high in 2023. Companies report the largest skills gap in this business area, and the demand for data analytics skills is growing over 15 times faster than the demand for the average skill in the U.S.
It’s no wonder people are eager to enter this growing field. Today, we’re announcing new advanced certificates in Business Intelligence and Advanced Data Analytics. These certificates build on the foundations of the Google Data Analytics Certificate program, the most popular professional certificate on Coursera globally. Developed and taught by experts at Google, these advanced credentials are designed to help people enhance their technical skills with tools such as BigQuery, Python and SQL. With skills like these, people can grow in their data analytics careers — whether that means unlocking new opportunities, assuming more responsibilities or gaining a competitive edge.
- In under two months, learners who complete the Google Business Intelligence Certificate will be able to create processes and information channels that transform data into actionable insights for organizations, and prepare for roles like Business Intelligence Analyst and Business Intelligence Engineer.
- And in under six months, graduates of the Google Advanced Data Analytics Certificate will understand how to use machine learning, predictive modeling, and experimental design to collect and analyze large amounts of data, and prepare for jobs like Senior Data Analyst and Junior Data Scientist, with median market salary of $118,000+.2
To connect graduates to jobs, the Google Career Certificates program includes an employer consortium of over 150 companies that are committed to considering recent graduates for open roles. And, more than 2,000 businesses, including Accenture, Deloitte, Hackensack Meridian Health, Lyft, Shutterstock and Google, are using the Google Career Certificates to upskill or reskill their workforce and improve employee engagement.3
